September 2012 - In the fall of the year

And so starts my favorite month. I always want to go buy pens and pencils. Stock up on office supplies and buy lots of paper. I search around for notebooks and ring-binders I keep stored away for when they might have a use.

The air smells different; crisp and as the leaves change color then fall to the ground I miss my dog and dressing up in hunting clothes to take him to the woods and watch him quietly stalk a grouse or scare up Chukar or Pheasant.

Farming being over for the most part, I remember starting school days before the Labor Day holiday then immediately having a week off for the Adams County fair. I saw a picture of a young woman sleeping curled up with her cow on straw in a stall in a New York fair barn. I had a dairy calf and huge Columbia sheep to get ready then load into the truck and haul to the fairgrounds. And after settle them in, begin the long and tedious job of hand blocking them for show in the ring.

Watermelons were free in the fields as Labor Day always marked the end of the season for melons. Every melon farmer allowed gleaners to come pick the melons before turning the hogs into their fields.

It was time to bring our siphon tubes in from the fields, draining out the water and piling them up neatly for winter. We always burned weeds as we found them during the farm year, but now we had bonfires and would often gather around them just to enjoy the fire, even to roast marshmallows.

We drove to Wenatchee to glean apples following their harvests and brought the apples back to make sauce, apple butter, apple cider and hard cider.

We cleaned our farm equipment when it’s season was done but now we did repairs and covered equipment up for winter. We began to “batten down the hatches” in our preparations for winter.

I remember when I went to Jr. College in Spokane and lived in an old mansion turned into apartments in Browns Edition. I had a new pup (Piper) who needed to go out every two or three hours to train to ask to go outside. We went to a park near the house and rain or shine we played in the leaves, jumped in puddles when they presented themselves and generally had a wonderful time among the pretty maple leaves and crisp weather.

We’ve just experienced the last Blue moon of 2012, a Dragon moon, I’m told. I have gone to the www.gotohorosocope.com/txt/2012-chinese-year-of-dragon.html and offer their exact description of the summer and fall of Dragon moon. “The Summer and Autumn of the 2012 Water Dragon year is predicted to be filled with a steady flow of additions, corrections and positive developments. This is as the Dragon prompts adjustments and improvements with a sway towards less dependence on artificial foods and materials. The remainder of 2012 is destined to be quieter giving a time of reflection to assess the first results of any changes. This quiet year end may have a couple of unexpected occurrences that although unanticipated are forecast to improve our environment. Any ideas generated in this favorable time span are likely to be groundbreaking and highly advantageous to mankind's future. There are plenty of ways to take advantage of a Water Dragon's reign on the year if we trust his intuitive vibes of optimistic fearless progression. His message of reassessing situations and determinedly moving forward will make 2012 a year to remember for the enrichment of knowledge and understanding in many areas of life.”

For me the pull toward the implements of writing draws me in to going into the cave for winter as in Native American belief we grow more introspective in winter.

I was married the 11th of September and my step-daughter K-2 celebrates her birthday on the 20th. Friends are coming today to pick the last of the Black berries with me as we have had them now for several weeks. We need to get them before the rains start. Another friend is bringing her first fish (a 13 pound Steelhead) over to share with me for dinner. I am so proud of her. Fishing is a satisfying fun and calming activity and for her to not only have two salmon on her line but to bring in a fish at all her first time out is a great accomplishment. She sent me pictures from her cell phone. This is the sign of a real fisherwoman – bragging pictures!

Often I writer here of spiritual topics. I’ve been reminded there is no difference between what is spiritual and what is temporal. Everything we do large and small is spiritual. The soul only asks for experiences. The Universe always says “Yes”.
Enjoy a happy and beautiful fall season wherever you are. Take time to smell the air and really “see” the foliage change and leaves fall. Give thanks for this turning of the circle toward year-end.

We each have skills and abilities, we have “knowings” and we have Spirit gifts. When we awaken to become aware of what our skills and abilities are we can begin to exercise them and make them stronger. The same is true of the more subtle gifts and “knowings” that come from Spirit.

I was born with an innate curiosity about how things work. I needed to take them apart and put them back together again. I could “see” how a thing should look just by looking at its’ pieces and seeing its’ pieces, knew how to put it together. I always knew about “frequencies” from building crystal sets to listen to a radio, learning Morse code for the telegraph key to send a message with the crystal set to one of my cousins was just normal summer fun. When computers entered my consciousness I already knew what to do with them and how to do it. The concept of software was just learning another numerical language.

I have always understood that sound, color, words, thoughts, feelings, every living thing vibrates with frequencies. People can see and sense these frequencies without even being consciously aware of them. Sometimes we want to leave a place because we feel “uncomfortable” in it. At other times we feel a need to call a friend at just the moment they feel the need to call us. These are all normal, usual and completely human gifts. We all have them. If we ignore or deny them we have them anyway, we are just more troubled by them.

As a farmer’s daughter, I knew what the animals and birds needed or wanted. I’d lie in the big barn on our farm and listen to them talking with one another or just thinking their own thoughts. I could hear the crops growing. I knew just when to pull up a carrot for a taste from our gardens. I didn’t question these “knowings” they just were.

I was six or seven when I wanted to ride a bicycle. I didn’t have one. My brother who was five years older than me had an English “racer”. It was too tall for me to get on without pushing it up to the steps or a rock or a box and then when I was on it my toes could only touch the pedals when one of them was on the “up” cycle.

I harried him relentlessly until he finally grabbed me, put me up onto the seat of his bicycle and gave it a push. I was in heaven for at least 30 seconds or however long it took me to miss the pedal with the toe of my sneakers and fall off the seat onto the bar. Gravity did the rest. The bike and I tipped over onto the ground where I thought I was dead having split myself open from bottom to top.

When the pain of that encounter was only a memory I was after that bike again. I pushed it up to anything I could get up on enough to give me a push and swing my leg over and found if I actually started out on the bar, I could reach the pedals. The only way off the bike however was the inevitable gravity fall or once with a brainstorm, I saw my way off by grabbing the mailbox with an arm and kind of tipping/bashing toward it still on the bike. Then once just once with this method, I was able to swing a leg over and jump off the bike.

Stealing my brothers’ bike had consequences. He was bigger than me and meaner. I began to envision a bicycle of my own. I could see every part of it. It wouldn’t have a bar, it looked like an English lady’s bike with a basket. It was red and had streamers from the handle grips.

I could read and knew innately that the newspaper would show me the way to my beloved bike. It did in fact. I found an advertisement in the “for sale” part of the paper for a girls bike (assembly required). It cost $13.00. I ran for the piggy bank and ruthlessly shook all the money out and pried the bottom stopper off to get to the few bills I’d put in there – all birthday and Christmas gifts from my grandparents. I had $10.97. I cut out the ad put it and the money in an envelope from mom’s desk and began to see me with that bicycle.

A few days later mom was going into town for something or other and I would get to go. I began my suit to have her loan me $2.03 which I had worked out how I could pay back and take me by the address in the paper to buy that bike. She was less than enthusiastic about my grand plan but she relented when our journeys took us close to where the bike was.

We brought home a paste-board box with parts in it. Inside that box I knew was a bicycle. Our farm had once been a much more auspicious venture than we used it for as it had a huge chicken house with nesting roosts and ramps which let the chickens walk up to their nests and down to the fenced yard where they could scratch the ground and find water. At the end of it was a small room with a pot-bellied stove in it, probably for chicks and storage for feed and other “chicken” things.

I loved that room. Mom and grandma used it as a “wash” room so the walls and floors were scrubbed and lines were put up across from wall to wall to hang clothes to dry on rainy days. The room smelled of warm wood and clean clothes. I could sprawl on the floor for hours just smelling and being warm.

This is where I took my bicycle box. I took every piece lovingly out of the box and put each one where it needed to go to make the pieces look like a bicycle. Then I took the bag of nuts and bolts and added them to my assembly line. Satisfied, I left them in the chicken shed to go in for dinner.

The next day when I went out to begin assembling my bike it was gone.

No one would talk to me about the bike. I was bereft. I looked everywhere trying to find where they had put it. Was it my brother? He surely could and would ruin my bike if he had known about it. I suffered over the loss of my bike for days.

My family was very close. My parents and we kids grew truck garden veggies, we had fruit trees and Christmas trees. We raised rabbits and sold eggs and milk. My grandparents did the same on their farm which was about eight miles away from ours. Every Sunday we had dinner at one another’s homes even if we weren’t working together on projects on one farm or another for the entire weekend.

The Sunday after my bike disappeared I was out with the dogs when my grandparents’ car came in the drive. I loved them and never ceased to be wildly excited when they came to our house. I raced for the car to greet them and after getting a pat from Grandma, saw Grandpa go to the back of the car for something. When he opened the trunk there was the dream of dreams – my bicycle. It was red. It had a basket on the front. It had handle bar grips with steamers. It had a bell!

All the rusted ubiquitously colored pieces from that box had been lovingly cleaned, primed, painted and assembled by my grandfather I don’t know who added the basket, handle grips, streamers, and bell.

JANUARY - 2012

The word for this month (the month Januarius) came from the Roman god of beginnings and endings Janus. Historically, Janus represented the transition between primitive life and civilization, between the countryside and the city, peace and war, and the growing-up of young people.
Astrology
CAPRICORN – The Goat (21 Dec. – 20 Jan.)
Ruled by: Saturn in its Positive Aspect.
Number: 8
Element: Earth
From an astrological perspective, we are transitioning from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. When we look in one direction, we see the breakdown of Piscean structures based on competition and scarcity. And, when we look in the other, we see the sprouting of new Aquarian structures based on partnership principles and the sharing of resources. While this transition can cause confusion and anxiety, it represents a unique window of opportunity for us to evolve.
Numerology

January = Number 1
  • The number of God,
  • The prime masculine number,
  • The Yang,
  • The number of consciousness, unity, light, Creation, Ego, and Being,
  • The active principle.
  • Energy in a state of perpetual motion.
  • The beginning – that by which all other eight numbers were created.
  • May be divided into any number leaving it unaltered.
  • Represents the spirit which can enter all things without changing their outer forms.
  • Immoveable and unalterable because whether multiplied or divided by itself one remains the same.
This does not happen with any other number.
  •  One is the number of aim, ambition and action and if these qualities are used positively a person can be very successful in life.
  • Be prepared to work hard and get things done.
  • Be prepared to encourage and advise others without lessening their consciousness.
Ascension
Many people have been adding to our ability to move into an inter-dimensional shift which has been in the public eye for many years now. With books and suppositions about Mayan Calendar meanings as well as scientific assessments of Solar winds, Sun spot activity and an observable change in consciousness among humans both into service to others and into service to self. With all this information it can become confusing and many may even find a “Guru” to follow blindly. It seems to me that balance and mindfulness is called for in each person as we grow and change during this time of galactic change.
I recently read an article which asks us to be kind. This will radiate as uplifting energy to all beings (all living things). People have been using sound for centuries to heal, move large objects and many other useful activities. Every sound can be identified as a hertz frequency or even as a harmonic.
People like Inventor Nikola Tesla and Physicist Winfried Otto Schumann who experimented with the “earth’s heartbeat” 7.8Hz. and identified the “Schumann resonances (SR) which are a set of spectrum peaks in the extremely low frequency (ELF) portion of the Earth's electromagnetic field spectrum.
Schumann resonances are global electromagnetic resonances, excited by lightning discharges in the cavity formed by the Earth's surface and the ionosphere.” (to read the rest of the data at Wikipedia click: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schumann_resonances ).

This resonance, also known as Earth’s heartbeat, has increased from its normal 7.8 Hz. and is now hovering around the 9 – 11 Hz. level. It is expected to move to 13 Hz. the frequency of unconditional love. Gregg Braden, a geologist who has been studying this, calls this place where the Schumann or magnetic frequency and the electric frequency intersect ZERO POINT.
Quantum physics is giving way to Plasma Physics. Tesla and others tested, postulated, and wrote about what we might call the basis of life. Scientists have split the atom to its smallest piece and what they have found is that at its core an atom is energy. Scientists speak of “standing waves” and electromagnetic frequencies. Lay persons feel or sense what scientists test and declare.
Tesla said in an article written for “the Century, a popular quarterly (V.60 (n. s. v.38) 1900 May-Oct), “I cut myself in the finger, and it pains me: this finger is a part of me. I see a friend hurt, and it hurts me, too: my friend and I are one. And now I see stricken down an enemy, a lump of matter which, of all the lumps of matter in the universe, I care least for, and still it grieves me. Does this not prove that each of us is only a part of a whole?”
Others have identified hertz frequencies attributed to body organs, emotions, electro-magnetic emanations from living beings (all living things), sound, color and even medicines and compounds.
We are all one. Tesla said that and I believe it too. I’ve seen it demonstrated over and over in my life.
If we are to grow in consciousness and move through what appears to be a great shift; one of something like 171 great shifts to occur in our earth’s history, we need to not go into drama and hysterical thinking.

I believe:
  • It is most important to move lower frequency vibrations like hatred, greed, envy, etc. away from us when we feel these emotions.
  • The more we feel and resonate with the frequencies of appreciation, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, kindness, joy, ecstasy, happiness and excitement the more we will create healing energies for all.
  • That at all times and in this year of change especially we are best served to be of service to others rather than to seek to be self-serving.
I have found that I need to:
  • be mindful of my thinking and feeling states
  • get more rest before 11 p.m. as Traditional Chinese Medicine suggests,
  • turn off or do without the TV,
  •  meditate,
  •  take soaking baths (sea-salt),
  •  make certain that what enters my consciousness is truly humorous, uplifting and inspiring.
Performing random acts of kindness are energetically necessary feels good. The thing about random acts of kindness is that they only work if no one finds out.

  • Offer to watch a friend’s dog or cat so they can do something they want to do.
  • Smile at the check-out clerk in the grocery store – really smile with your eyes and heart.
  • While you are waiting for someone in a parking lot, pick up the trash you see around you and put it in a waste receptacle.
  • Plant a flower or tree.
  • Grab an abandoned grocery cart as you walk toward the store and push it in to use while you are shopping.
The possibilities for random acts of kindness are rife.
Have a happy 2012.

Peace.

What we do for Friends

Sometimes there are people who come into your life who are so very precious and make such an impact that you will do everything you can to help them when they are having life events.

This year has been a year of people who have been in and around my life for years some who I have an ongoing relationship with and some where the frequencies of our lives have changed from harmony to disharmony and we have moved apart.

I wrote about the Law of Frequency earlier in the year. How people we might have thought we would be close friends, even family together for life begin to move away from us or we move away from them, either suddenly or over time. I often hear people tell me how guilty they have felt when they don’t feel close to a person any more. That Universal Law talks about just this thing.

It tells us not to place blame or feel shame or anger when a relationship is no longer viable or even marginally happy. After doing all we can to repair and revitalize the relationship if we still find we and they are unhappy with each other, do not labor any longer to try to fix something that may not be broken at all. This relationship may have moved into disharmony or another to say that is to say we and they are vibrating at different frequencies than we did previously.

And, sometimes allowing these relationships to just be what they are and continue on in our lives to grow and change as it appears we are all meant to do, after time has passed sometimes these we or they after making our changes find ourselves resonating together again.

This happened to me in August of this year. Several things happened in accordance with the Law of Harmony (frequency). After my one and only husband died in December, his children – the children of my heart have been in contact with me often as have the children of my brother who died weeks after my husband who died weeks after his best friend and best man at our wedding.

I have gone “Walk-about” from time to time throughout the years and in doing that many relationships have been neglected. One of my ex-husband’s kids searched me out and found me about three years ago and threatened me severely if I ever dropped out of sight again. That made me realize how important it is to stay connected to those we love. I was selfish in just driving away after my mother died, following the nose of my vehicle, going here and there staying with friend/s for awhile, then moving on looking for who I had become and where I needed to settle next.

One friend who is not only a friend but like one of my “daughters” was one such person where our personal vibrations changed and we needed to leave one another alone for awhile. She re-entered my life during a life event for her. I have been happy to be of service to her and to renew our friendship of many years.

Instead of going missing-in-action from my friends and family – this time I stopped updating the website and stopped writing for you. I apologize for just leaving everything as it was in August this year.

I started to write on the next Universal Law today and saw that in fact I had finished the Eight Universal Laws in August. So in looking at what has happened in my life since then, I came to realize that I have been invested in being of service to friends and family and creating new friendships through the work I do. I just checked my mailbox Sunday morning and found a box I expected to be a book – which was really a box of goodies from one of my client/friends near Spokane, WA. I have jokingly been calling her the “cookie lady” because she sent me cookies once for what she considered to be over and above what I charged her for the work we did on her computer.

I am more in the spirit of Christmas this year than I have been in the last fifteen years. Friends of mine who are the most amazing people invite me for computer work, dinner and movies every other week or so. They both have health issues and you wouldn’t know it unless you spent some time with them. We laugh and cry together and that’s before the movies start. Their little dog is a grand dame who runs their household like she should. This past weekend they invited me to decorate cookies. I haven’t decorated a Christmas baked good since the kids and I made a Gingerbread house. I got the gingerbread people. They got sprinkles, no sprinkles, goofy hair or no hair and one of them is shown from the back, wearing a green and red backpack and goofy hair. I had a grand time. I spent four or five hours and decorated ten cookies and ate one. I think Mrs. Claus would have docked my pay.

Years ago I was asked to be a designated payee for a friend who was ill and needed someone to pay his bills for him for awhile. Having been bookkeeper for many businesses as well as my own this task was within my range or skills and I was happy to do this service for him until he was able to begin managing his own finances again. I’ve been doing that kind of thing for another friend since August as well as writing stories for my husband and brother’s kids about hunting, fishing and camping they did that the kids might not have been a part of or were too young to remember very well.

The one year anniversary of the death of the kids father was just a few days ago. When I came home from an afternoon and evening decorating cookies with my other pals I saw a shadowy thing at the top of the stairs down to my house. As I approached the stairs I saw it was a vase of flowers – Yellow Roses. My husband bought me yellow roses for every occasion as he knew they were my favorites. It had begun to freeze that evening so I hurried the flowers into my house and then went back for the rest of the car stuff. When I looked at them set upon the end table in my living room/office. They had dewy water spots on them and shimmered with the light. I had a little cry and am now drying the petals to keep for potpourri.

The next morning I checked email and saw one from the next youngest kid who sent me a thank you email for a special story I wrote for her for her birthday which is also her dad’s death day. I had to cry a little more at the warm words she wrote to me. How could I ever put those connections in jeopardy by just dropping off the face of the earth for three or four years?

By now there should be a new addition to our family or will be soon as my niece is due any minute. My computer is behaving like a machine and won’t let me in to one of the social networks so I can see if she has had our newest family member. I’ve been so excited for her I went a lot nuts over the baby shower – but then what are Aunties for?

Well then, there you have it. Sometimes we are humming along at the same frequency as others and sometimes we aren’t. People who love us just chew us out and let us back in. I love them all friend and family with every beat of my heart.

Have a very harmonic holiday season and may 2012 bring peace, joy and ginger cookies to you all.

August (8) the First Fruits of the Harvest

On our farm August was month for praying the Sun was strong, Water plentiful and the Wind didn’t blow down your wheat crop. In mountain foothills August was prone to thunderheads and so there we prayed for no cloud to ground lightening. – no fire.

The Numerological Description of the Number 8

The Greeks called 8 the number of justice because of its equal divisions of equally even numbers. Numerologically it represents what is solid and complete. The number 8 also represents cycles of time – the four seasons sub-divided once more by the two solstices and equinoxes. In Christian symbolism it stands for the afterlife. It is considered the number of regeneration . The figure 8 has long been believed to represent the joining of the two spheres of heaven and earth. It is the number of the force which exists between earthly order (the square) and the Universal order (the circle). It is associated with the balancing of forces, the equilibrium of different forms of power and with infinity with its symbol for which is an eight on its side.

8. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy

We each of us manifest with every thought we have. Universal Law 8 tells us that we all have within us the ability to change our lives. We can change the condition of our lives, our world and our Universe. Since everything is about energy anyway, when we change our thinking, our beliefs and our actions we are changing the frequency of our energy and we do this every minute. With conscious intention to put our thinking in the higher vibrations we move out of lower vibrations. Through introspection and trusting our innate understanding of what “feels” correct – not what necessarily “feels” good -- just what feels correct. We all know what the small, still voice or the wrenching of our stomach or a sense of peace, awe and wonder is like.

I work with energy every day in my business. Occasionally the process I use will ask that the client seek to experience feeling Love twice as high as Fear. I ask them to close their eyes and see what gives them Joy. When my client does this, I usually see a smile or a small tear appear when they have envisioned that memory of a Joyful experience. And the in that process their Joy is mirrored back to them in a feeling of calm, well-being and happiness. It is an honor to be part of a person’s movement into higher states of vibration and away from the lower vibrations which have caused them unhappiness and possibly harm.

When we “know” what being what my teacher called “Sovereign”, we will always know how to go to that feeling space again. There is a practice in the discipline of Chi Quoung where one learns to come to the state of high energy on the Inner and then move that state out into the Outer. The saying, “As Above, so Below and As Within, So Without” speaks to this moving of energy. First gathering it within, then moving it out and even further out until we see it fill the Universe or whatever we can envision as sending Joy back to the Source.

As we study the previous Universal Laws we see that we are all one and that what we think, believe, say and do affects others. We also see that everything in the Universe moves. Things vibrate creating a frequency a movement of energy. We find that when we understand Laws 1 and 2, we soon see that we must act. The phrase, “Nothing happens until something moves” is so appropriate with the 3rd Law. Then we come to see nothing happens by chance because every action has a reaction or consequence. The 6th Law shows us that there is a visible, tangible effect from our thinking, beliefs and actions. “What goes around comes around.” As we place our attention on the 7th Law we see that we attract the people, situations and “things” into our lives.

As one concept or “Law” flows into another one we become and we become acquainted with what is happening in the “microcosm” that which is on our Inner, we learn that we can move what we experience to a Macrocosm or we might say, we are sending energy to the Universe or back to the Source.

Massage practitioners are trained to not move their hand in one long motion where they would leave their client’s arm for instance because that movement of energy would continue off the end of the fingers and create a “string” of energy to connect the client and the Massage practitioner. We unwittingly create these “aka” strings and between us and others and then wonder why we are exhausted. When I finish a session with a client, I go around them and energetically “cut” any energy strings (aka strings) which might have been created during the session. With the residual energy, I see it move away from myself and my client, out of the room, around the earth and far and perpetually out into the Universe as healing energy. Taking this bit of time leaves me and my client feeling refreshed and even the room feels more clear and inviting.

This practice embodies the Universal Law of Perpetual transmutation of Energy.

July The Seventh Month

                                                                (7) In Numerology

In numerology, the number 7 is considered a highly spiritual and energetically gifted number. The number 7 is unique in that it can divide the number of Eternity and continue on for as long as the number representing Eternity exists. It is at the same time capable at every addition of itself of producing the number 9. Consequently the number 7 creates the basic numbers upon which all material calculations are built and through which thought is expressed. It is a “magic” number appearing often in the Bible related to magical powers.

There are:
  •  7  colors in the spectrum
  • 7  notes in the musical scale
  • 7  features in the human head
  • 7  outside petals in flowers of a pure strain (never cross-pollinating with other plants) like the Lotus flower
  • 7 Chakras
  • 7 days in our week
The Moon, the planet which has the greatest influence upon the rhythms of our lives, has a four-phased cycle (a lunar month). Each phase lasts 7 days – our week.

This number represents the triumph of spirit over matter, the union of three plus four, of heaven and earth and of life and substance.

The 7th Universal Law – The Law of Compensation

The Law of Compensation is about giving and receiving and is aligned with the Law of Cause and Effect which is about how we create and experience the consequences of our creations. Some call these consequences Fate others Karma, others Coincidence. It doesn’t matter what you call it, the Law of Compensation takes it all up a level directly responding to the level of “energy” we but into our actions.

Through the Law of Compensation we receive according to what we give. And, the more we give, the more we receive.

Universal Laws are without judgment and always says, “Yes!” So when we “give” faith, belief, trust, and love that is what the Universe gives back to us. When we give fear, doubt, judgment, and criticism the Universe gives us more of that. And, if we are giving with an expectation of some kind of return we are still coming from an aspect of fear and we will receive more of the energy of fear.

What isn’t Love is always Fear. I’ve read and heard that said and I believe it. We certainly have various words to describe what we call positive and negative, good and bad, right and wrong. I believe at the root we come from either Love or Fear.

I believe everything is energy and all is alive. I also believe we manifest with our every thought. If I have fears of failure, fear of lack or fear of rejection about some feature of my life, I’m asking the Universe for more failure, lack and rejection. If I have faith that all things happen perfectly and I trust in that faith that is what the Universe provides me with.

There is a song I like very much and the chorus has this phrase in it:

“Let our Giveaway be sacred, let our Giveaway be true. Give away to the Giveaway, life force coming through.”

I’ve never been harmed by giving of myself, my time or my “things”. My life has been blessed by what I’ve given. I believe in balance and that everything in the Universe exists in balance. For me it follows that if we give with our whole heart and without expectation we will receive accordingly.

Giving in this manner lets us receive in ways that are more wonderful than we could ever imagine.

I’ve probably told this story here before but I’m going to tell it again. I grew up on a farm in Eastern Washington and I was in high school, my father was ill with something the doctors couldn’t define. What he couldn’t do was raise his arms or lift anything without having the pains associated with heart attack. We had been granted an allotment to raise sugar beets that year and he was sick and in hospital when it was nearing the time to harvest our crop.

My mother was with him two-hundred miles away at the hospital. Alone, on the farm I’d been having nightmares (and day-mares). I was afraid that I didn’t know enough to get our crop in and it would spoil in the ground.

One day I was in our front yard, looking out over our beautiful farm and I began to sing. I don’t even remember what I was singing but it lifted my spirits. I had been singing for quite a while when I became aware that the ground was shaking under my feet. I stopped singing only to hear the sound of heavy equipment moving up our road.

As I stood there trucks and a sugar beet harvester turned into our driveway in a convoy and someone jumped down from one of the machines to ask it I’d lead the way to our beets.

I can never tell this story without having tears of gratitude. Our neighbors had heard about my dad being in hospital and they knew we had sugar beets so they just came and they harvested our crop for us.

That is how the Universe works in my life. I have faith that the Universe will work that way in your life as well. “We are what we think about all day long.” (Wayne Dyer).

Have a happy and safe 4th of July and may you walk in balance.

JUNE (6) –Universal Law #6 The Law of Cause and Effect

In Numerology (6) is said to be the number of the human Soul because six is symbolic of the union between Fire and Water. It is the number of relaxation and effort. It is also a ‘Perfect number’ because it equals the sum of its divisors (1+2+3=6) and is divisible by both a 3 (odd) and a 2 (even) thus harmoniously combining the elements of each. Six has been ascribed to the number of days of creation and therefore symbolic of the cessation of effort and to the number of love, marriage and domestic happiness. It is a hermaphroditic number.

Fire has long been related to passion, creativity and power. Water is associated with emotion, imagination and intuition. The Six being a number of harmony can strike the chord between peace and war, assertion and aggression. It can signify the unity between human and god.

For people with a date of birth which when added together equals 6 they have the challenge to be of service to others and give help and support when it is called for.

Six: The Law of Cause and Effect

I’ve heard it said that if we make a decision based on self that we will be disappointed or hurt by down the road. I believe this and have seen and experienced it often. I also believe that what I think about all day long is what I ask the Universe for and the Universe always says, Yes!” So what I cause to happen will bring an effect to others or back to me. If as I’ve heard said, “If you squeeze a lemon you get lemon juice.” So if what I think about all day is what I lack or don’t like or don’t want or don’t something else, what I will get is more of what I don’t want.

Conversely, if what I think about is how I can make a change for peace, or for the “good” or whatever, that is what I’ll get more of since the Universe always says, “Yes”.

People tell me changing their thinking is too hard or they’re too old and it will take too long to make a change and other words like that. I have come to believe for myself that if I desire change it can happen all at once. We manifest with every breath we take. We are constantly manifesting. If we aren’t manifesting what we do want then we can change that right now, this instant, this next right now.

Some people are looking forward to June as a summer season, for other’s it is cold and rainy with Thunderstorms and tornados coming down the pike. As young people graduate from high school and college traditionally in this month, they are looking forward to careers and are at a place of endings and new beginnings.

June is a month of new beginnings for gardeners and farmers since it is traditionally the month of new crops and beautiful gardens filled with wonderful blooms and scents. We’ve seen a change in our weather patterns this year though and for many the ground is still too wet to get tractors in to fields and gardens are coming up haphazardly if at all for maybe too much rain and not enough dry days or too much dry and not enough rain.

The Universal Law of cause and effect can be just that the volcano we had April 14, 2010 near Reykjavik is going to affect our weather for a long time to come. I’ve mentioned that event many times when I hear people musing over the change in weather. That volcano was worse that Mt. St. Helen’s by far and our weather will be affected for a few years because of that one event. What is happening in Japan is having repercussions not only for the Japanese but for the world.

Native Americans have been known for their council decisions being thought out to the seventh generation. Can you imagine what things we might not have built that are now causing us devastation if we had the foresight to think so far ahead.

Be mindful, think more than once before doing something or saying something that has the possibility of creating an effect. I’m told everything we do and say causes an effect so mindfulness would be an integral part of the life of people who want to walk gently on our earth.
