MAY (5) 2011 and The Law of Cause and Effect

In Numerology (5) is the number of “Chance”. Some interpreters think five is the most holy of numbers and others think it uncertain, discouraging and hazardous. Five is displayed in Leonard Da Vinci’s drawing “Vitruvian Man, Study of proportions”, from Vitruvius's De Architectura. This famous drawing shows man with arms extended from his body, legs beyond hip width and head erect thus showing the five points of man which are likened to the five-pointed star.

• The five cardinal points plus the center.

• The five elements of Chinese philosophy - Quintessence
(an alchemical term meaning The four elements plus that which encompasses them; that being
           the quality of physical consciousness).

Odd numbers represent the male except (1) which is most commonly representative of the number of the Divine; God, Gaea, Wakan Tanka (Great Mystery), and all the other names for “deity”. Even numbers represent the female. Five (5) is the merging of the first feminine number (2) and the first true masculine number (3) creating (5) which is a masculine number. The number 5 is also referred to as the midpoint in the 1-9 number cycle of the decimal system. Thus it is considered to be a pivot point where past and future are both visible at the same time.

May is also the month of my father’s birth. He was born on Beltane; May 1, 1921 and was fifty-four years old when he died. I have loved him all my life.

I always knew he loved my mother and she loved him. They never passed by one another that I knew of without giving a touch, a smile, that look . . . and they loved their family. I knew without a doubt that my father loved me just as I was, in pretty frilly dresses all torn and muddy from following a frog up a stream or in boots and blue jeans worn white from the saddle and from the slide of many hay bales from ground to knees then up to the augur or a hay stack – he loved me no matter what.
He loved me when I was married.. He loved me when it became known that I couldn’t give him grand-children of my body. He loved the grand-children my husband brought to our marriage. He loved us and he taught us all to fish.

He loved my husband who was born May 24 and died December 2010. He love his son who was born May 28 and died January 2010. Love is what endures.

Happy Birthday, my father.

The Fifth Universal Law

The Law of Cause and Effect

This Universal Law states that nothing happens by chance or outside the Universal Laws. Every action has a reaction or consequence and we "reap what we have sown."

My Native American teacher has always said that what we do during the year comes back to us ten-fold in spring. Upon hearing of someone doing harm to self and other living things he would say, “I sure wouldn’t like to be that person come spring”.

There was a time in my life when I attributed “happenings” to chance, happenstance, accident or outside interference. The day came for me when I had to face the fact that “they didn’t do it to me”. It was spring and I had just cleaned the whole house from outside to inside.

I remember clearing off my coffee table which sat a ways back but in front of the fireplace. I’d just cleaned the fireplace and had laid new kindling down with wood to the side prepared for a new fire. I sat on the other side of my coffee table and put there all my woes, grievances, slights, hurts (real and imagined) and resentments and old feuds. I had a funeral for all those things right there in front of my fireplace in my own living room. I cried, spoke the stories of my life right out loud and sang songs from my childhood Sunday school days. I was alone in the house and this was the time for me to grow up and take responsibility for my part in everything that had happened to me at the hand of others or myself.

I forgave them and me and when I was done with this purging and funeral -- I lit the fire.

I wish for you that this spring-time is wonderful and that what you have given to others and yourself (all living things) throughout the year comes back to you now as Joy and Peace and Love. I also wish for that you know who you are inside and out and that you are the same on the inside as you are on the outside.

Walk mindfully well loved one,
          Walk soulfully well loved one,
                 Walk kindly well loved one,
                          Be always coming home.

April (4) Universal Laws - The Law of Correspondence

The Four in Numerology is considered a highly spiritual number. Many ancient cultures had four-lettered names for God – allh (Arabian), Adad (Assyrian), Amun (Egyptian), Itga (Tartar), and Esar (Turkish) and so it was considered a sacred number to them as it was to the Pythagoreans as well.
Universally it is aligned with the world, the earth, and is the number of foundation and solid matter. It has been referred to as the most primitive of numbers. Four points are needed to create the tetrahedron. There are four aspects of self: physical body, astral body, soul and spirit. Four functions: sensation, feeling, logical thought and intuition. Four aspects of matter: mineral, gaseous, animal and vegetable.

In this the fourth month we are asked to be organizers; efficient, industrious and practical. This month calls for patience, trust, tenacity and precision. This is a month to slow down and take life more seriously. You may find yourself working hard this month with little leisure time.

This Law states that the principles or laws of physics that explain the physical world - energy, Light, vibration, and motion - have their corresponding principles in the etheric or universe. "As above, so below"

Physics sometimes called the “fundamental science” had its foundation in Pagan nature observations and went through its phase of being denied by “true Science” derided as being nothing more than Numerology. Why ascribing an unsupported way of describing our world from micro to macro was attached to a fine scientific discipline like Numerology always baffles me. But then burning and hanging people who tended to the dis-eases of their communities not only baffles, but begs the question of why Mother Earth has allowed such an ignorant specie to continue to live on her bounty.

Today thanks to the persistent work of pioneers in the field of “what you can’t see, feel or touch” like Michael ColemanTalbot's book The Holographic Universe and Dr. Valerie V. Hunt’s book Infinite Mind. Both books are available this website’s Calendar & Bookstore page through my Amazon Widget.

Michael began writing Science Fiction and with this book has taken us into Quantum Mechanics and Metaphysics. He suggests that the universe is a hologram.

Dr. Hunt is best known for her research in the field of Bio-energy. Her pioneering vision and commitment to highest scientific standards in the fields of physiology, medicine and bioengineering leads us to the first truly scientific understanding of the relationship between energy field disturbances, dis-ease and emotional stressors.

This Universal Law of Correspondence leads me to a conversation I have often with people who work in/at distance with frequencies. I believe all is energy and that all living things send and receive frequencies every moment. Whether I am talking about frequencies or energy or prayer or whatever any person wants to call what we vibrate outward when we send wishes for another’s betterment or for the benefit of Mother Earth and all living things or when we receive prayers or wishes from others for our own well-being on all four realms, we are speaking of As Above, So Below.

As one of my favorite speakers and writers, Wayne Dyer says, “We are what we think about all day long”. And it is my belief that what we think about, what we intend, what we do sends correspondent frequencies into the etheric, the Universe as it were.

The word “etheric” was first know to be used in the 14th century and came from the Latin, Aether, from Greek, Aither, and from Athein meaning to ignite or blaze.

It is used by energy workers to define the divisions of energy fields that wrap around the body three-dimensionally. There are believed to be four to seven etheric layers.

Aether is akin to Ether which has been used to define “up there”. As in “the baloon rose into the ether”.

So this again points to as above, so below or the other way around. What we send out here moves out and out in ripples or concentric circles into the Universe.

This Universal Law is much like the First Nation people’s concept of thinking seven generations out before making a group decision. Not, “I want what I want and I want it right now”, but “how will it affect the world and all living things seven generations out”?

Be mindful and en-joy.

March (3) and The Universal Law of Action (3)

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. At least that’s what my farmer family always said about this month. In numerology March, the 3rd month is a one of trinities:

· Past, present, future,
· Father mother child,
· Birth, life death

The number 3 in numerology is aligned with the need to work toward success by using or developing our creative talents and to find personal freedom through work.

According to the Farmer’s Almanac for 2011 this is a month of beginnings and endings with much work in between. See: www.alamac.com/bestdays/timetable . If I remember correctly, lambing season started at our farm in Eastern Washington in March and we began to work harder as spring was approaching and after lambing season would come planting and then, and then…

I look at the trinities shown above and think of the cycle of life, or circle of life. I love the Peter, Paul & Mary song from the 60’s “To everything there is a season”. As a farm kid I surely know about seasons and all through this life I’ve watched those seasons become cycles and cycles become circles.

I believe we are all here to heal one another and that means not only am I a giver but also a receiver of good health on all four realms; mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. When I am in balance I’m closer to the earth and can then feel each season; feel each thing in its season, from the weather to personal relationships. Everything does have a season and in that we can learn to move with grace and ease from one season to another. It feels right that the Universal Law of Vibration from February is followed by the Universal Law of Action.

The Law of Action (3)

From the Twelve Universal Laws, the Third Law – that of Action tells us that we must act, that we must move forward or work in to manifest what we want or dream of on this earth. That we must be our actions should be consistent with our thoughts, dreams, emotions and words.

From earliest times, teachers have spoken and written that we should seek to be grounded in the now and work to be the same on the outside as we are on the inside. I love the phrase, “we are what we think about all day long” from Dr. Wayne Dyer. This means to me that if I think of hostile and angry things then I am going to be a hostile and angry person. If I think of loving and affirming things, I’m going to receive more of those energies – vibrations.
When we judge one another without benefit of any fact, we are judging ourselves and we are living in ignorance. I once lived in a world of sudden violence, hostility, jealousy and hateful feelings. I don’t live there now and haven’t lived there for more of my life than I did live in that world of dark vibrations. I do speak of vibrations and that is because we all and everything does have a vibration, a harmonic even and these vibrations are measurable.

People who practice kinesiology, muscle testing, or dowsing understand that our bodies are quite wise. We know inside what we need and who we need to be around or not. Just ask a potato some day in the grocery store if it wants to come home with you. If your body wants to lean forward the answer is yes, if it wants to lean backward, leave the potato in the store and find one that wants to come home with you. You will be much healthier for this behavior.

Our dreams and wishes, the thoughts we have about these and whether we take action to see these desired things come about is what the Universal Law of Action is all about which similarly is what the numerological description and the Farmer’s Almanac’s description of the month of March and the number 3 is about. Cycles, circles, seasons.

Be in Joy,

February Numbers, Holidays, The Law of Vibration (2)

February 2011 (6) and Numerology
February, the second month (2) plus 2001 (4) = 6. This is the number of the human Soul because six is symbolic of the union between Fire and Water. It is also the number of ambivalence and effort (in Pythagoras’ Arithromancy, the number Six equates to “Perfected Labor).

Six is considered a ‘Perfect number’ because it equals the sum of its divisors (1+2+3=6) and is divisible by both a 3 (odd) and a 2 (even) thus harmoniously combining the elements of each.
  •  It has been connected with the number of days of creation and as such is symbolic of the cessation of effort.
  • It is the number of love, marriage and domestic happiness.
  • It is also a hermaphroditic number.
Since sixes are romantically inclined and lean to the ideal in all matters of the heart, it no mystery that this is the month of Valentine’s Day. Everything for a Six must be harmonious, balanced, artistic and romantic.

Holidays in February

February 2nd (Northern Hemisphere) is the day Imbolc which is a time to celebrate the goddess Brighid, and the end of winter. If you live below the equator, Imbolc is celebrated on August 1st. Unlike solstice and equinox celebrations, these dates don’t change from year to year.

Imbolc celebrates the time of first sign of thawing of streams or other very early signs that winter is waning. It marked the beginning of the lactation of pregnant ewes. The word Imbolg means “in the belly”, and is celebrated in the “quickening of the year” when life is first stirring in the belly of Mother Earth. The goddess Brigit (in Ireland), who is important to hearth and smith fires and poetry, is important at this festival. It is the first day of Spring in the Pagan calendar.

The 14th of February (Valentine’s Day) was named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 500 AD. The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. (This excerpt was paraphrased from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentine%27s_Day .)

Valentine’s Day is the day you will still see school children carrying, albeit slyly their home-made card for the teacher or that special other person, maybe even taking home the card made for mom from school.

No matter how bad we think our world is overall and that it is going in all the wrong directions, there is still Valentine’s Day.

February (2) and The Universal Law of Vibration

Since we are also talking about the Universal Laws this year, February being the second month (and my birth month) brings us to The Universal Law of Vibration. I particularly like talking about this Universal law as it states that everything in the Universe has a specific, unique vibration. This means that all living things which vibrate in the same range are attracted to each other and the opposite is also true. This is why we are attracted to some things or people and not attracted to others.

As we grow in our spiritual understanding our vibrational frequency changes. When we do this we may cease to be attracted by those still vibrating in the range we used to also vibrate in. This has proven true in my own life over the last three years anyway. When my mother died I realized all the family above me were gone or unavailable to me. I was now eldest my family. I began to just wander from here to there, testing places and people to see where I fitted – to learn who I had become in the years of care-giving and spiritual growth.

I travelled to places and purposefully connected with people I had known for years. Many of those earlier relationships were no longer viable. I wasn’t thinking along the lines of vibrational incompatibility. I now understand from my study of this Universal Law just how right it has been in my life. There are a very few long-time friends and there are many new people with whom I’ve connected and am now even creating a different kind of family these days.

We are vibrating on the same frequency. Just knowing this is true helps me to understand what hurt and baffled me about when I encountered discomfort, even anger and animosity from people and places where I had been kindly welcomed in earlier days.

I work with vibrational energy every day. I understand all is energy and all is vibrating at different frequencies. I also work with color and sound both again having specific frequencies and harmonics. It is interesting that I didn’t see this in the people I had once known and been close with and how touched I felt and still feel when I encounter a person, place or thing who and which vibrates in concert with my own vibrations.

There are 10,000 pounds of household goods from my life and the lives of my family members now gone, sitting in storage in a place far from me. I occasionally wish I had something from storage and find after looking everywhere for it that I do well without it. One day I will go visit the contents of the storage unit and feel the vibrations there, taking only those items which vibrate for me, giving others the chance to experience the rest of my former possessions.

I now know that with the completion of the lessons and experiences from 2000 to 2004 I had in my isolation, intention and attention on my mother’s needs moved out of my previous vibrational level and that is why I became ready for change.

I understand my change in vibration today and know the present “now” in which I live is showing me that I am learning and growing and that I have begun taking on new experiences.

I offer this to encourage you to look at your present “feeling” state, to check how you are vibrating. Ask what attracts you now and see if it is different from what you were attracted to just a while ago.

Peace

January 2011 (4) Meanings and Universal Law #1

In numerology this coming year 2011 resolves to the number 4 when each of the numbers in it are added together. The number four has long been considered a sacred number of the Pythagoreans representing completion, solidity, stability and equilibrium.

Often referred to as the most primitive of numbers 4 is a “safe” number. It is a feminine number.

Many cultures have four-numbered names for God—Allh (Arabian, Adad (Assyrian), Amun (Egyptian), Itga (Tartar, and Esar (Turkish).

Universally the meaning of the number 4 is the world, the Earth, the Establishment, the number of foundation and solid matter. The points of the compass, the seasons, the elements (earth, air, fire and water), the winds. There are four aspects of the self: physical body, astral body, soul and spirit. There are four functions: sensation, feeling, logical thought and intuition. Four physical senses: hearing, taste, feeling, smell. Four aspects of matter: mineral, gaseous, animal and vegetable.

This “Four” year is one of building, organizing, being efficient, industrious and extremely practical. It is a year of being more “down-to-earth”, more respectable. It indicates a time to slow down and take life more seriously.
During this year I will be taking each of the twelve Universal Laws and talking about them a bit. We’ve heard a lot about the Law of Abundance from movies like the Secret. It is easy to forget there are many other Universal Laws which have been pondered and meditated on for centuries.

The first of these twelve Universal laws is the Law of Divine Oneness - This law is based on the belief that everything is connected and that everything we believe, think, say and do affects everyone and everything in the universe.

Many people have believed throughout time in the oneness of all things and more and more I’ve heard and read the works of others who have come to ponder the oneness of all in this life.

If we are all connected and everything we believe, think, say and do affects everyone and everything in the universe why are some of us trying so hard to find the differences instead of the similarities among people. Why do we find it so hard to celebrate our unity and so very easy to spend billions of dollars and millions of lives making war on one another for what—the bounty of the earth? In the name of God? Domination, control and power.

“He drew a circle to keep me out,
A thing of scorn, and a thing to flout.
But love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle that took him in.”
Edwin Markham

I so love this sentiment. If God is then God is everything — and what does that leave out? No thing. So rather than wrestling with others by thought, word or deed, we can pay attention to what we think about all day long. That is what we become, so if I want more chaos and anger in my life I need to pay attention to what I’m thinking about and if my thinking is chaotic and angry, I can stop! Turn around and change my mind. Put my attention on what my intentions are and look up, tune my thoughts to things that give me courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace and enlightenment.

Sounds like a heavy load to change my thinking to. These words are from the Map of Consciousness from “Power vs. Force” by Sir David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD. http://www.veritaspub.com/ . They resonate at frequencies higher than 100 Hertz and send the harmonies of their word name out and out to cover all of us — our other-selves.

Peace,
